THE RULES OF DISAGREE
THE RULES OF DISAGREE
STEP 1: Begin by having one participant say one of the statements below.
For example, "Flying is the best superpower."
STEP 2. Other participants are encouraged to disagree with the statement and offer an alternative view
point (make sure you present a solid case for your argument).
They should begin their point with the word "DISAGREE".
For example, "Disagree. Flying is not the best superpower because running
very fast would be better for short and long distance travel."
STEP 3. Participants are encouraged to disagree with this new view point. They should again begin
their point with the word "DISAGREE".
For example, "Disagree. Running very fast would make you too tired. Having super
hearing is better as you can listen to what everyone is saying."
STEP 4. The game continues until the topic is fully explored.
Why are we playing this game?
1. It is a great way to get to know each other!
2. It encourages people to disagree respectfully and amicably.
YOU'RE MEANT TO PLAY DEVIL'S ADVOCATE.
