YOUTH ROUNDTABLE DISCUSSIONS
NMYC host Youth Roundtable Discussions to ensure young people of all faiths and beliefs are heard when it comes to their perspectives on the most pressing issues of our time.

Our most recent discussion/workshop took place in June 2024 in partnership with Sustaining All Life and the Brahma Kumaris UK on different ways of building resilience for yourself in light of the existential threat of climate change. We also laid the groundwork for working together with others, opposing the divisions that society currently imposes (such as racism, classism, sexism and more). This event was organised for London Climate Action Week.

In November 2023, we organised youth-led round table discussions at the Global Cooperation House in London, in collaboration with the Brahma Kumaris UK and Harrow Interfaith. These discussions explored the intersections of social action and faith. The event included thoughtful discussions, guided meditation sessions, and lots of FREE FOOD. Topics for the roundtables included refugee narratives, personal strength and resilience, mediating our reactions on social media, leadership in times of conflict, and managing eco-anxiety.
