NMYC AWARDS PROGRAMME

Our NMYC Interfaith Officers organise multifaith events, socials and religious festivals with other faith and belief-based university societies on campus. Our officers receive exclusive access to careers fairs and regular skills building workshops.

Show your commitment to multifaith values, elect a NMYC Interfaith Officer, and coordinate three events a year (one event a term) with another faith and belief-based society to receive a NMYC Award.

We introduced the NMYC Awards Programme to inspire multifaith relationship building and to promote religious inclusivity and understanding between faith and belief groups on campus.

MULTIFAITH CHAMPION NETWORK

We welcome full-time professionals or students that either are not designated NMYC Interfaith Officers or individuals that are not members of a faith and belief-based society to become Multifaith Champions. Being a NMYC Multifaith Champion is an informal and low capacity role. A NMYC Multifaith Champion can choose how involved they are with the organisation.

This can be anything from attending events and supporting the central team organise and promote NMYC activities to just simply committing to build multifaith relationships amongst young people in their own way.

We run exclusive socials for our Champion network. Multifaith Champions will still receive access to our exclusive careers fairs and regular skills building workshops alongside NMYC Interfaith Officers.

REGULAR INFORMATION SESSIONS

To inspire engagement in NMYC activities, we will be holding regular information sessions online that detail the benefits of becoming a Interfaith Officers or Multifaith Champion. These sessions will be very informal and are designed to be an opportunity for students that are interested in multifaith more generally, to engage with NMYC central team members, learn about the ways they can get involved and experience our organisational culture.

Promoting a positive organisational culture is our priority at NMYC. We believe in a friends-first approach to volunteering. All of our NMYC representatives are friendly and welcoming. Follow us on social media to find out when our next information session is taking place.
